And the winners are....
Design A Pumpkin, 2010!
This is our third year of Design a Pumpkin with CCSD Elementary Schools and Walker Furniture! Here are the guidelines:
Create a design for the front of a pumpkin using construction paper collage. The winning pumpkin design will be recreated
and carved onto a real pumpkin by a professional pumpkin carver at Walker Furniture’s atrium on Halloween day.
We received about 200 entries and the most difficult part was deciding which three were the winners. The judges compromised
on the top 7. In addition to the first, second and third places, we gave 4 honorable mentions this year!
Thank you to all the students and teachers to helped to make this competition
such a fun event! On October 30th, our master carver, Chef Chan Boupha, created the design of
our winner onto a real giant carved pumpkin! Chef Chan's talent is amazing!

Photo Art Competition, 2010!
We invited CCSD High School to submit photographs that represents Las Vegas, not as the typical vacation and party get-away destination, yet rather emphasizing the unique attributes that Las Vegas has to offer. For example, the natural beauty and culture that is often times overlooked, or possibly an insight into the people who live in Las Vegas. And we had some great submissions this year! Thank you to the teachers and students who participated in this contest. The quality of the prints were great and the students presented us with the REAL LAS VEGAS, as we locals know it.

"CREATE A TV SPOT FOR WALKER FURNITURE, 2010!"
As a group project, students were asked to create a 30 second televisionspot for Walker Furniture, focusing on elements of humor, wit and creativity. We received many submissions, and we have to admit, we had a great time reviewing every one of them! Well done to everyone who submitted to this contest!
